Music is my religion

Theres nothing like the feeling of hearing a great song.  Music can change your entire attitude and mood in just a few minutes.  It can make you forget the annoying advertisement that just ruined your jam sesh on pandora, or forget the asshole who cut you off!  Music can bring back memories from the past and inspire hope for the future all in the same song.  Is there anything else in this world that can totally change you way you feel in such a short time span?  Work today has been amazing!! Headphones in all day long pumping out jams from John Legend and The Roots, Asylum Street Spankers, Umphreys McGee, Band of Heathens, and some O.D.B old school flavor!!  Gotta love sunshine and good tunes!!

Fix that Sh*t already!!

What up world?? Hah who am I saying what up to? I have 0 followers!  F it I'm gonna rant anyway.  So right now I'm working for a contracting company and I bid jobs for the government.  Anyways, all the work I do is internet based. I find jobs on government databases.  I discuss issues via email.  I submit bids via email.  Pretty much without the internet there is nothing for me to do.  Well I get to work this morn and the internet is down and I am told "An IT guy will be there to fix it."  No timetable is given, just that he will call about 30 min before he arrives.  This is what my day has consisted of....

8am- No internet.. Go to the break room and bitch with other employees about how much it blows that we cant play on the internet....
9am- No internet... At this point I am playing on my phone to get my internet fix...  geekologie tells me some dude was busted banging a dinosaur in a park.... people are weird
10am-  Still no internet... Back in the break room the slight bitching has now turn into full on pissed off mode... we petition our boss to lets us go home.... petition denied
1015am- Playing paper-toss the real life version.... the app is better.
11am-  Internet status... negative.....Take an early lunch
12pm- Still at lunch
1230pm- Back at work.... God damn fucking internet still not working
1pm-  In the middle of a serious game of paper football... Monday night football can only hope to be this good... Co-worker owes me coffee all week!!
2pm-  How did people survive before without the internet??  If time travel were possible I wouldn't go back past 2003 because a world without high speed internet is not a world I want to be a part of
3pm-  I have now wasted a full day at work.. My boss is an asshole.. I'm glad he lost money because of the lack of production today...
345pm- The IT guy Arrived!!!!
4pm- The internet is Back!!!  Check e-mail, check all my favorite websites that I have been missing for what seems like forever!! Amount of work getting done 0.
430pm-  Blog about how shitty this day was!


Not sure if it was the internet fix or the blog but in 48 minutes the day has gotten exponentially better!!  Happy Blogging... and may the Force be with you!

Drifting Aimlessly...

25 years into life and I have learned one thing..... I still have no clue what I want to do. Don't get me wrong, I'm not in a depressed state over why my life is the way it is.  I just honestly have no clue.  It took me 3 colleges, 7 jobs and 5 cities to realize that, I still have no clue!  Is this really what I spent 20 years in school for?  To sit behind this computer at this particular desk?  People have always told me to "Do what makes you happy!"  Well what makes me happy is to experience things for the first time.  How can you make a living doing that?  I have a spirit in me that is driven to explore.  Sailing the Caribbean, Climbing Mount McKinley, Walking the AT.. there is so much life out there to explore and frankly Google images just isn't cutting it for me anymore.  So now I set forth to travel and experience new things, to let the wind take me where it may, and to hopefully figure it all out along the way!
